Hi, I’m Nicole!

I’m a problem solver at my core, relentless about asking “why?” and understanding context.

I’m currently a Senior Manager, Product Design at Rakuten Rewards. I manage a team of designers and writers focused on our Extensions, Profile/Payments, Dining, and Post-Purchase.

I was previously a Product Design Manager at AbleTo, where I built and managed a team of full-time and contract designers working on delivering high-quality mental health care. I managed the team through an acquisition by Optum, while overseeing the zero-to-one launch of AbleTo’s Self Care product. Before moving into a management role, I designed AbleTo’s new onboarding system, managing tradeoffs between complex medical and legal requirements and a high quality user experience.

Before that, I was a Product Designer at several consumer-facing companies focusing on wellness & community, including Meetup, ClassPass, and MeYou Health.

I am passionate about transformative justice. I launched a UX/UI mentorship program with Emergent Works to help build pathways to tech careers for formerly incarcerated people.

Outside of design, I play bass with Early Riser and love volunteering with Boston Raising Powerful Musicians & Willie Mae Rock Camp to teach music & social justice skills to young people!
